Hosted by Kevin Bleyer
December 2 : The Art of the Politics, A Supreme Opera
Special Guest: Derrick Wang, a composer, lyricist, and pianist. Mr. Wang is the creator of the opera Scalia/Ginsburg, which was introduced at the Supreme Court of the United States and has since received national attention from outlets including National Public Radio (NPR), the Associated Press (AP), Bloomberg, the Washington Post, the ABA Journal, and the Wall Street Journal.
Audience members who attend Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s talk at the 2014 Glimmerglass Festival will be in for an added treat. An aria from composer Derrick Wang’s opera Scalia/Ginsburg — “You are searching in vain for a bright-line solution” — will be performed as part of the program.
